August 15-20 Women's lake trip

Join us as we explore the beauty of Northwestern Ontario’s Shoal lake. Discover its history, its stories and the breathtaking landscape as we spend each day paddling its water. Shoal lake Ontario is home to two indigenous communities Band 39 and 40, both of which have water expropriated from them for the use of the city of Winnipeg.

Shoal lake has numerous abandoned gold mine sites as well as caves, cliffs and world class fishing. Due to low sale of land and the remoteness, the lake largely sees seldom use by cabin folk making for an isolated lake trip feel.

Join us around the fire and in the Canoe as we cook and fish for you and together we will explore the ranges of Shoal lake and all it has to offer.

” I had a great time on the trip! We had such a diverse group, ages 5-63! I felt like we were never competitive; each of us wanted to enjoy our experience but at the same time wanted the others to enjoy it as well. For me, it was a good balance of paddling and doing other things. The food was excellent. I appreciated how the guides could read the group to set the pace. I hope to go again.” - JN - Boissevain Manitoba
